Sophronitis brevipedunculata

A Brazilian epiphytic (tree growing), sometimes lithophytic (rock growing), miniature orchid from Minas Gerais State. This plant is cool tolerant and enjoys good humidity and being grown on a cork slab. When in pot, a small clay pot with granite, bark, or even sphagnum moss works well.

Known for pink to fuchsia colored flowers, this particular batch has been showing colors more in the red tones.
