Stanhopea grandiflora (oryzalin treated)

A beautiful pure white Stanhopea from Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana, French Guyana, Surinam, Brazil, and Trinidad. Wonderfully fragrant. Typically blooms in the summer to fall months. This is one of the larger-flowered Stanhopea.

Oryzalin-treated in the laboratory, potentially converting these plants to 4N tetraploids, with even larger flowers than normal! These seedlings come from our mother plant, which we have had in our collection since the 90s.

Stanhope are fast-growing plants, and we grow all of them in solid pots with sphagnum moss until they reach blooming size. Repotted into 4-inch pots as of March 2026. We expect this batch to reach blooming size by the summer of 2028.
