Tsubotaara Melinda Marie 'Blue Sapphire' HCC/AOS

One of the best clones of Melinda Marie! This beautiful, compact hybrid is easy to grow and thrives in intermediate to warm conditions, while tolerating cooler nighttime temperatures. It prefers medium light levels. The 2.5" flowers last about 4 to 6 weeks, and feature a lovely lavender-blue overlay, along with a subtle, pleasant fragrance.

This variety can be grown warmer than traditional Zygopetalum and performs well in regular household temperatures. Keep the plant evenly moist, and repot at least once a year when grown in moss to ensure optimal growth. The leaves grow to about a foot tall from the top of the pot.

Please note: These plants will naturally shed their oldest foliage after maturing and flowering, and in some cases may do so while in bloom. Like most Aganisia and Zygopetalum hybrids, these do get spots on the older growths before shedding, which the current plants have. Dry conditions at the roots can also cause spotting. The new growths emerge green.
