This is the seldom seen yellow-flowered Sedirea japonica. The plants are much more compact than regular Sedirea, with a mature leaf span of about 2 1/2 to 3 inches. The leaves also have a pale yellow/green appearance, with newly-emerging leaves bearing the most yellow.
Sedirea japonica, known as 'Nagoran' in Japan, can be found in sub-tropical regions of southern Japan and Korea. This is a miniature growing species with a Phalaenopsis-like leaf habit. The flowers have a strong citrus scent, reminiscent of lemons.
