Technically, the taxonomists have renamed this 'Phalaenopsis japnoica', but it is still considered by many so different than Phalaenopsis that we will stick with Sedirea for now!
Sedirea japonica, known as 'Nagoran' in Japan, can be found in sub-tropical regions of southern Japan and Korea. This is a miniature growing species with a Phalaenopsis-like leaf habit. The flowers have a strong citrus scent, reminiscent of lemons.
Growing culture is best in sphagnum moss or bark mix. These also do well mounted on slabs if you have the culture for it.
Current sizes are offered as in the photo. The large sizes are imported from Korea and the flower spikes were stressed in shipping. They may or may not flower for the 2024 season. The medium size has not flowered yet and should still produce flower spikes in 2024. Small sizes may not flower until 2025.
If any size is not available to select, that means it has sold out.
