Once your order leaves our greenhouse, you will receive tracking information in your inbox. Most supply items ship separately from plants, but may be included in the same box with plants if they are smaller items.
During the colder months, orchid orders may be placed on hold if temperatures fall below 15°F. During the summer months, orchid orders may be placed on hold if temperatures rise above 95°F. We do not have control over carrier service disruptions or delays once shipped. Should your order arrive damaged and a replacement is warranted, it will ship via FedEx 2Day through our carrier service.
How are the plants shipped?
Shipping orchids correctly requires special care. We examine each plant to make sure it is healthy and ready to be shipped. Flower spikes are properly staked to protect them in transit. Shredded wax paper is then used to keep the orchid snug when it is wrapped in paper. We include instructions to give the best advise on unwrapping your new plant. Search our catalog to find the perfect orchids and supplies, knowing that they will arrive in excellent condition!
Shipping costs
Shipping rates are calculated based on the size of plants included in your order.
Can I schedule or hold the delivery of my order?
We welcome order holds up to two weeks in advance. During checkout, indicate in the Order Notes field which day you would like to have your order shipped. Please note, we may contact you in the event that your orchid will not be in spike anymore at the desired shipping time.
My tracking information says that my package is delivered, but I don't see it?
Once your item is delivered, your tracking status will indicate where your driver left the package. The FedEx driver will upload a "Proof of Delivery" photo to show where the package was left.
If your package is still not found, we recommend checking nearby, with your lobby manager, or perhaps a neighbor to see if someone else has picked up the package. If you are still not able to locate your package, please let us know by contacting Customer Support.
Do you ship in cold winter or hot summer weather?
In winter, we ship live plants using complimentary heat packs and insulating foam included with each order. If the package is expected to travel through an area with temperatures below 15°F, shipment is delayed until temperatures rise above this threshold. In summer, we ship using ice packs and insulating foam. If the package is expected to travel through an area with temperatures above 95°F, shipment is delayed until temperatures fall below this threshold. We appreciate your patience as we strive to supply the highest quality orchids year-round!
Can I ship a gift to a hospital, retirement home, or other care facility?
Packages shipped to care facilities may experience difficulty reaching patients. We are not liable for packages accepted by care facilities. If a package goes missing after being accepted, any claims will have to be directed towards the care facility that accepted the package on the recipient's behalf.
