Pro-mix is typically offered in large quantities, making it unrealistic for your average hobbyist. We have packaged them into smaller bags for your hobby use! This is a wet media, making it good for orchids that like a lot of moisture like Paphiopedilum, Phragmipedium, Jewel orchids and Oncidiums. It is also good as an amendment, added to your bark mix to hold extra moisture. Typically we recommend low increments when mixing in bark. You can add perlite to this mix to open it up more for faster drainage and dry time. This peat moss also includes Biofungicide & Mycorrhizae, which often accompanies orchids in the wild and is essential for seed germination! In addition, it has coconut husk and coir, which helps longevity of the potting media.
