Brassavola Grand Stars (B. nodosa x B. Little Stars)

Brassavola Hybrids are some of the easiest of all orchids to grow and are perfect for beginners! This backcross results in 75% B. nodosa genetics and 25% B. subulifolia, with the idea of increasing the flower size with B. nodosa influence while retaining the floriferous influence of B. subulifolia. Grow in bright light and allow the potting mix to become just dry between watering. The flower spikes emerge first inside a sheath at the base of the inside of the leaf where it joins the supporting stem.
