An interesting hybrid between the large white-flowered Den. papilio and the bright red lawesii. This plant pictured is the first to flower, but we expect some variations in size and color. This first bloom is surprisingly nice with 3.6 cm flowers which is already larger than lawesii. In the future, larger plants should hold many flowers and get even larger flowers.
For production purposes, we grow them in pots upright. This plant, however, is a pendulous grower by nature so the flowers will be upside-down when the growths are staked straight up. This cross also would make for a good slab mounted orchid.
