Description
Long strands of pure white flowers. These plants can easily have more than 20 flowers per spike. Easy to grow. Water as it just dries at roots and treat like a Phalaenopsis.
Aerangis citrata is native to Madagascar. It has fine roots requiring even moisture year round. It can grow in a wide range of temperatures from hot to cool and prefers shady conditions. We think this plant grows best in either clay or plastic pots and wants to approach dryness between watering. Feed every third to fourth time you water if planted in moss. The long, many flowered spikes can emerge in spring, summer or fall and will easily flower twice per year if not three times per year. The plant has leaves about 3-inches long and will develop side growths allowing it to be divided occasionally. These newer strains we are growing are even better than the picture presented, as the parents have been selected for larger flower size with good shape and higher flower count. Basically, you can grow it like a Phalaenopsis.
