Created by Hye in 1906, this hybrid is one of the most important in Cattleya hybridizing. As of 2022, there are 90 hybrids that include Suzanne Hye as a parent, including famous ones such as C. Bow Bells and C. Edithiae. Being that these seedlings were made with exceptional tetraploid 4N parents, we expect superb flowers around 5" to 6" wide. These will set the new standard for Cattleya Suzanne Hye and will be very useful for breeding, allowing for modern re-makes of fantastic classic hybrids.
While we expect coerulea colors in the offspring, it is possible that some may turn out pink, as seed-grown coerulea hybrids can revert to their natural colors. Very few available at these sizes.
