This is one of our own crosses. We backcrossed Epid. Sun Valley to the species Epid. cinnabarinum. The flowers have bright orange petals, and a beautiful lip in sunset colors ranging from red to bright orange to yellow. When these plants flower, do not cut the spike until it has gone brown as they can continue to produce buds from the tip of the spike.
