Description
This species is native to Southeast Australia and grows in bright light just short of burning the leaves. They can take it quite warm in summer but in winter the lowest night time temperature recommended is 50-55 Fahrenheit. They can take temps to the middle 40’s in winter but they do not like frost settling on the leaves. During the growing season when new growths are developing it best to water well allowing the potting media to approach dryness. Plenty of fertilizer can be applied during active growth. After the growths mature in autumn give the plant a dry rest for 6-8 weeks watering only if you see shriveled pseudobulbs. We grow our plants in large charcoal and either clay or plastic pots. They can also be grown in granite. They are a rock growing plant in nature.

The flower sprays are fantastic with up to 100 or more flowers on mature growths. They are colored in a creamy white color typical for the grandiflora form and the curvicaukr form is yellower to sometimes a dark yellow.

We have been growing these plants for many years and we have decided to share some of these special plants with our customers. Most of these plants are 25 to 35 years old plus.
