Huperzia carinata has a more compact leaf structure and growth habit compared to other Huperzia. Current plants available are established with multiple growths and well on their way to becoming specimen plants.

These are very ornamental, and we are offering large and established plants. There is an interesting distribution of these ferns, from Southeast Asia to Australia to Africa. They tend to grow best in a moist potting material like pro mix or sphagnum moss. These plants can also be mounted with the root ball on top, letting all the foliage hang straight down.

Note there are a few dry leaves in the pictures. These are sparse and result from importing stress. They are now established and growing new roots/leaves. As time goes by, eventually you will have nothing but solid green leaves on the entire plant.
