This variety is exported out of Japan as Neofinetia falcata, but actually is a Neofinetia hybrid. There is usually no parental background to check, but most likely these plants are all back crosses of Ascocentrum x Neofinetia hybrids. The flowers open white and darken to yellow over the period of about a week. They have a different fragrance than regular Neofinetia and also tend to bloom in the early spring or late fall/winter, and when large can bloom more than once per year.
