A wonderful species from Sulawesi that gets hairless pitchers with a yellow background and red to burgundy markings that look as if they were painted on. The lower (or ground) pitchers are darker in color with a distinctive green peristome. The upper pitchers are larger and more heavily suffused with a yellow background. This is a highland species that grows at 1,600 to 2,000 meters in elevation. Our plants are well established in New Zealand moss.
