Originating from a mountainous region in Sarawak, Malaysia, this rare species exhibits numerous black glands over the leaves, tendrils and pitchers of this plant. The glands serve as a nectar lure for insects and give off a sweet fragrance up close.

Nepenthes glandulifera is a vigorous plant that does well in intermediate to warm conditions and is quite tolerant of humidity and temperature fluctuations thanks to the hairs on its leaves.
