This is a integeneric cross between Calanthe vestita, which had pink-colored flowers, and Phaius tankervilleae, also known as the nun orchid. The hybrid gets flowers that are white to pink in color. When the plants are mature they get large attractive psuedobulbs, and large leaves that almost resemble Palm leaves.
