A species native to Brazil and Peru with flowers that have a very sweet fragrance. When large in size, the plants will produce multiple flowers on a single stem. Once they have finished blooming, the plants will shed their leaves and be left with just the pseudobulbs. Shortly after, new growths will emerge from the base of the pseudobulbs. Depending on its growing conditions, this plant can flower between spring and fall months. Single growths have a starter bulb with a mature bulb. Double growths have a starter bulb and two additional bulbs.
