The white-pouched lady's slipper orchid. This plant is a Midwest American native. They prefer slightly alkaline soil. This plant is an outdoor perennial which can grow in Zones 3 to 5, and Northern Zone 6. These plants are seedlings and will probably flower in 2018 or 2019. They grow in prairie settings with a soil pH of 7.4. Adding powdered dolomite lime to the top of the soil once per year should keep the pH at the right level.
