A high elevation species from the Philippines. Magnum says it all, as this is the largest of the Dendrochilum species!

The flowers of this orchid have a very unique aroma that fills the room, and can be described as a slightly sweet fragrance with a hint of all spice. The flowers last from 2 to 4 weeks and are very prolific.

Although this plant is high elevation and cool tolerant, we have had no issues growing them in warm conditions. Therefore, these seem to be overall hardy plants when it comes to temperatures. As a general rule, the warmer the conditions the more water you will apply. Typically once per week with fertilizer applied once to twice a month when growing in sphagnum moss. They can also grow in small bark mix as well.

Current offerings are large divisions of collection plants. These plants flower while the new growths are developing, right out of the apex of the new foliage, unlike standard pseudobulb orchids which flower once the growths are mature from the side of the bulb.
