A very nice species from Northwest Sumatra. This plant grows near the ocean in mangrove swamps in warm humid conditions. The flowers bloom sequentially over several months and the spikes re-bloom year after year. Do not cut the flower spikes so long as they are green, as these naturally go dormant for the winter.
