A great indivdual plant with novel heritage. This plant is so large it doesn't even fit in our photo back drop! Currently in a 7" pot, root bound with multiple growths. The cross between Stanhopea napoensis and Stanhopea nigro-violacea (the two largest-flowering species in the genus) should produce big, fantastically patterned and highly fragrant flowers. This is a blooming size plant that should flower summer of 2018. We grow them in plastic pots to speed up their growth, but for flowering it may do better in a basket to help the spikes find their way out of the container.
