A totally wild-looking bucket-shaped super-fragrant-flowered orchid from South America. Native to Trinidad, French Guiana, Surinam, Guyana, Venezuela, Colombia, Peru and Brazil. They grow in lowland wet forests and do best grown warm and wet. They love fertilizer as well. The flowers are showy and short lived, about 3 days to be exact. The process of watching them open is fun as they have very alien-like flower buds. Larger plants can flower more than once per season (spring-summer), giving you a bit more than 3 days of flowers out of the year!
