This huge, spectacular Gongora species is native to western South America. We have a sib cross of two large parents in our collection which have a slightly different hue in color. This is the largest of all Gongora as the leaves can reach a length over 2 feet long and the leaves can be over 7" wide! These are large robust growing plants, heavy waxy flowers, with an almost overpowering sweet fragrance. Quite rare! The flower photo is 'Igor'. We have been searching for other parents of these for years but they don't seem to be available anywhere... and the only ones we have found have never bloomed out to be true sanderiana.
