About Us

Orchids Limited began in 1978 as a very small orchid nursery specializing in mail order and retail. We have since expanded to five orchid greenhouses, each with its own special climate.  Quality is our goal, from the products we sell to the customer service we provide. From our continually evolving stud collection, we propagate select forms of species, new and old. We strive to create new directions in orchid hybridization.  We have developed what we and many of our customers believe to be the best orchid packing and shipping techniques in the industry.  Feel free to read our testimonials and hear what others have to say about us!

Orchids Limited consists of five greenhouses, a warehouse and a laboratory where we propagate many of our own plants.  Look below for more information and pictures.

Retail Orchid Greenhouses

These two greenhouses have an intermediate to warm climate with a selection of most of our orchids. We grow several genera of plants in this house including Aerangis, Cattleya, Dendrobium, Paphiopedilum, Phragmipedium, Vandaceous orchids and an overall wide variety of species. This house is also used for Paph. and Phrag. seedling production.  There is always a wide variety of blooming plants in our retail house as we bring them into the sales area from other greenhouses once they are in bloom.

Production Orchid Greenhouse

This is our latest addition to our nursery. With over 5,000 square feet, we have space to grow a wide variety of stud plants, along with production stock.  This house consists of mostly Paphiopedilum, Phragmipedium, Dendrobiums and Cattleya Alliance plants.  This greenhouse has an intermediate to warm climate with a selection of most of our offerings.

Phalaenopsis Orchid Greenhouse

Phalaenopsis never fail to be in demand, be it species or hybrid.  This greenhouse provides a warmer climate for optimal Phalaenopsis production.  We are now concentrating mainly on producing more species and unique hybrids of unusual color and pattern.  Click here to view our Phalaenopsis selection.

Cool Orchid Greenhouse

This is our coolest climate greenhouse in which we grow several species and hybrids, many of which come from South America, or areas of high elevation where the plants are exposed to cooler climates.  To name a few, we grow Japanese Cymbidium, Lycaste, Masdevallia, Pleurothallis, Zygopetalum, Miltoniopsis and Intergeneric Oncidiinae.

Orchid Supply Warehouse

Our warehouse is a 42 x 60 foot Morton building.  The warehouse is heated and insulated to house and protect supply items. We do all our packing and shipping from this building.  This is also the location of our office and laboratory.  View our Supplies.

The Orchid Lab
