Description
A wonderful diminutive species from Peru. With small pseudo bulbs that form tight clumps. Considered a miniature to compact plant, this species requires medium light and cool to intermediate temperatures to perform best. The 8 - 10 inch flower spikes carry several long lasting 3/4” flowers colored in a intense, brilliant red. The flowers typically last about 8 weeks. These are multiple growth specimens in 4” pots. Please note: some Oncidinae species and hybrids can develop tiny tan to brown spots in the leaves if grown in higher light. This is normal. The foliage and pseudobulbs can also turn reddish in color from higher light. Grow in New Zealand Sphagnum moss for best results.
