Native to Peru and Ecuador, this species can growing in semi-shaded areas of wet montane forests. For this reason, we grow this orchid in a mix of perlite and milled sphagnum moss to provide the perfect combination of moisture and high drainage at the roots. The pseudobulbs of this species take on a an olive tone, accented by speckles of red anthocyanin pigments occasionally in the leaves and pseudobulbs.
