A beautiful rat-tail type Oncidium now classified in the genus Trichocentrum. This species is widespread throughout Central and South America and can even be found as far north as the Sonoran Desert. In Mexico, it can be found growing on oak trees and north-facing rock canyon walls. Allow the potting mix to dry well between watering unless this species is in spike or flower, at which time the mix should only be allowed to approach dryness.
