This is one of the cochlopetalum hybrids that can flower for up to two years or more on a spike. The flowers emerge one at a time and last for a month or two, fall off and then another bud forms. Before the flower spike finishes blooming a new side growth will form at the base of the plant and will flower within 6-8 months. When the new growth flowers its best to cut off the old spike. This will put more energy into the plant and new flower spike. This plant likes lower light and wants to be watered about every 4 days for best results.
