This is a primary cross between Phrag. longifolium and Phrag. fischeri. We used the hincksianum variety of longifolium to create this hybrid. The flowers are similar to Phrag. Sedenii, but with darker colors. We named this cross in memory of Estelle Getty, who many of you may know as Sophia Petrillo from the Golden Girls. An easy-to-grow orchid, as with most longifolium hybrids.

These plants do have minor brown spotting on the foliage mostly on the old growth, which is not actively spreading!
